Rye Silverman has been performing stand up comedy since he was 19 years old, performing in venues across the country and opening up for some of his comedy heroes, and meeting a lot of great people in the process.  Rye Silverman was also secretly dressing in women’s clothing until he was about 28 years old, when he decided it was time to let his skirts come out of the closet and be a proud and public member of the transgendered community.  Since then Rye has integrated his crossdressing into his stand-up act as well as his life in ways that have been described as “brutally honest” as well as “extremely funny.”  

Having not had the freedom to truly explore the world of women’s fashions and beauty regimens growing up, Rye still finds himself at the edge of a particularly harrowing learning curve.  With Chick Like Me, Rye has created a blog first and foremost to cover this world through the eyes of a male crossdresser still finding his way in it, as well as discussing the various adventures that prop up in his day to day life, and occasionally discussing issues and news articles that deal with the transgendered community.
